dinner for dragons

So today was feeding day, all three dragons got a small mouse. Cruel maybe, but the mouse does not suffer, one bite to the neck kills it quickly. Except Issy my female bearded dragon, who usually takes her mouse so quickly that I need to get my hands out of her mouth has decided that she just is not ready to eat her mouse yet. I'll give her another hour, then take it out and feed it to Elizabeth the water dragon, who is a stomach on wheels. She can and will eat anything she can get her jaw around.

Both Izzy and Elizabeth shedd a bit this week, not enough to put Elizabeth off her food, but apparently an issue for Izzy. Although she went to town yesterday on her kale, odd. Tris, my male beardie did not have a problem, he already gulped down his dinner, and is sleeping, typical male.

Their expressions are so cute I just had to take pictures. And share them.

Elizabeth - the water dragon, who is asking for seconds.

Izzy, who really prefers brown mice but forced herself to eat a white one. I wonder if she is thinking 'that's the last time I let her go shopping'

This is Tristan, can you tell he is the boy. Dinner is done, now I sleep. He has this strange habit of moving all the sand away from one corner of his tank and sleeping on the glass after he eats.

They are all a bit 'touched' as my grandmother use to say. Izzy gets mad when I change her pen around, and tries to move stuff where she likes it. I have to play search for the food dish every morning. Tris likes to move the sand in his tank all around and build himself little hills and berms. Elizabeth wants nothing more than to roam around the house. Getting her out of the tank is easy, it's getting her back in that's hard. When I take her out for anything she wraps her legs around my arm and will not let go. She is worse than my cat!

So I thought I would share some pictures.
