Messing with Home Depot

Spent a good part of the day in town helping Tom and his mom. She wanted to get a new bath room cabinet and we went over to Home Depot. She found a cabinet she liked but the only one on the floor was on the top shelf. We found an employee who said they needed to find a fork lift truck.

There was a scissor lift right in the aisle only a few feet from the cabinet. I had the worse urge to jump in the lift, but I knew I would not be able to get it down. After the first 5 minutes I started to bug the employee about getting the cabinet down. After 10 minutes I had reached my limit on Home Depot stupidly.

I went up to the service desk and told the manager that I had been waiting in aisle 9 for some one to bring a forklift to get my cabinet down. I let him know that we were in the starting phase of an entire bathroom redo, and he had exactly 4 minutes to keep me from going to Lowes.

Within two minutes at best they found a guy who was licensed to drive a fork lift, but no forklift. I suggested we just use the scissor truck since it was RIGHT THERE!

I should have twisted the manager just a little bit more, I think if I had really made a stink he might have tried to knock the price down, but we just wanted to get the heck out of Home Depot by then.
